But the same result can be performed by writing a JavaScript that executes a template and writes the result to a new file.&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;I think it would be a useful feature for the UI - as then you could write templates that spit out useful reports and save them directly from the preview screen. Please raise a &lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;A href="http://issues.alfresco.com" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer"&gt;JIRA&lt;/A&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt; request for the feature. &lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;STRONG&gt;It would not be hard to add for a community minded developer out there looking for a little Alfresco project to get their teeth into &lt;img id="smileyhappy" class="emoticon emoticon-smileyhappy" src="https://connect.hyland.com/i/smilies/16x16_smiley-happy.png" alt="Smiley Happy" title="Smiley Happy" /&gt;&lt;/STRONG&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;Thanks,&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;Kevin&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>

      <description>Hi, somebody can explain me an example of how can i create content with templates in the web-client. At the moment i only can pre-view my contents with templates,&amp;nbsp; but when i open the content in a browser for example, the template doesn't appear. why?Thanks.</description>
