Hello,I have recently installed the 2.1 community edition on Mac OSX. Once I configure the database for MySQL according to wiki instructions, I get the errors pasted below. Hi Jason,

Did you run the db_setup.sql script?


create database alfresco;
grant all on alfresco.* to 'alfresco'@'localhost' identified by 'alfresco' with grant option;
grant all on alfresco.* to 'alfresco'@'localhost.localdomain' identified by 'alfresco' with grant option;‍‍‍‍

Yes i did and they completed successfully. I can connect as alfresco to mysql following the script executing.

Could you also check the MySQL connector is on the classpath?

yes, it is on the classpath. ive echoed it at start and it shows up.

I'll speak to one of the devs here on Monday who has set up correctly on a Mac - there's might be a step missing from the wiki.

Hello MikeH,

Maybe this can help you. Copy the Mysql Java Connector to /webapps/alfresco/WEB-INF/lib and try again.

Yep, tried that as well, no luck. the mysql connector is definitely in the classpath.

I have the same issue on Gentoo.

I solve this part

 command: convert /Applications/alfresco/tomcat/temp/Alfresco/ImageMagickContentTransformer_init_source_46095.gif /Applications/alfresco/tomcat/temp/Alfresco/ImageMagickContentTransformer_init_target_46096.png
succeeded: false
exit code: 1
out:
err: convert: not found ‍‍‍‍‍

by installing image magick. But the rest still fails.

I had the same problem. It turned out that tcp wrappers were blocking the connection to the database. From /var/log/auth.log:
mysqld[19684]: refused connect from 127.0.0.1

adding:
mysqld: localhost 127.0.0.1

to /etc/hosts.allow seems to have solved it.
