System seems to be completely hosed after import&delete

Selecting OK after the above error apparently tries to repeat the import:

Please correct the errors below then click OK.

* A system error happened during the operation: Child exists: WEB-INF

although selecting 'Cancel' has often given me the somthing almost
identical.

The import is not complete though.

Trying subsequenlty to investigate what has happened and
find out how much succeeded and what failed through CIFS,
can seemingly lead to so many internal errors that my machine
struggles just under the weight of logging them (I've had to
delete around 8Gb of error logs so far today).

Has anybody got any idea how I can get this fixed, or is my
only option to can the whole prototype and rebuild from
scratch?

I got the same kind of error too. Sometimes (yes, completely random) when i delete a folder or file and try to create it again (with the same name), i get the message:

Error : A system error happened during the operation: Child exists "filename"

Even if nobody knows how to fix this bug, i need to force the file to be deleted so i can create another with the same name, anybody knows how can i find and full remove (disk and DB) the file/folder based only in it's name?
