    <description>&lt;HTML&gt;&lt;HEAD&gt;&lt;/HEAD&gt;&lt;BODY&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;Hi,&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;Right now, In rc.local (Fedora Core 4), I just:&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;1. set JAVA_HOME and add it to PATH&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;2. cd /opt/alfresco (alf_data and alfresco.log get created in / if this is omitted.&amp;nbsp; I'm a newbie but this cannot lead to anything good…)&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;3. ./alfresco.sh start&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;Is there a canned script or a better way to do this that I'm not aware of?&amp;nbsp; Just looking for the "right way" to do it. &lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;Thanks,&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;John&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;HTML&gt;&lt;HEAD&gt;&lt;/HEAD&gt;&lt;BODY&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;Hi,&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;That looks fine.&amp;nbsp; A working application is always a good place to start an investigation.&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp; :lol:&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;The relative path for the &lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;STRONG&gt;alf_data&lt;/STRONG&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt; directory is just to allow for quick starting during evaluation.&amp;nbsp; You probably want to move that folder somewhere more permanent and change the Alfresco server to point to it.&amp;nbsp; See &lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;A href="http://www.alfresco.org/forums/viewtopic.php?p=2504#2504" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer"&gt;this previous post&lt;/A&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt; for details.&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;Regards&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>
