Page 8 of the installation guide talks about a file that does not exist (file-servers.xml) even after starting alfresco. There is a custom-file-servers.xml but that file does not have a line with <host name=…I am trying to configure CIFS. I even bought the book but there was no help in there ei

Hi,

That file exists within the Alfresco webapp.
E.g., for my install in Tomcat, once Tomcat deploys Alfresco and explodes the webapp it can be found here:
E:\Alfresco2.0.1\tomcat\webapps\alfresco\WEB-INF\classes\alfresco\file-servers.xml

Any changes that you want to make should go into the extension file 'custom-file-servers.xml' as good practice.

I did figure this out, however the installation guide is wrong and should be updated.
