Please download PR6 if you haven't already. Alfresco is now I18N ready for localisation into other languages - including multi-byte.

Thanks,

Kevin

The Alfresco is great. Thanks for your efforts to let it be open source. But, does it support Big5(zh_TW) or others?

Thanks for your comments

In theory yes Alfresco should support I18N from day one. The next version of the Preview Release (PR5 - out shortly) will have much better support in the web-client. More of the strings have been I18Nised and we've added support for a language per-user in the UI framework (although it's not exposed to the user yet). So once we have finished moving all the visible strings into the java properties file it should simply be a matter of converting the file into your appropriate unicode supported dialect.

Obviously we need to do more QA to check multibyte characters pass through the Alfresco stack correctly - and that the browsers displays them correctly also. But this is all in our roadmap for future releases.

Thanks,

Kevin
