I suggest you do it as follows:

- Create user groups for each of your partners
- Create a space for each partner
- As an administrator, go to the details page of each space and click 'Manage Space Users'
- Uncheck the option 'Inherit Parent Space Permissions'
- Invite the corresponding user group to the space , giving them the 'coordinator' or 'collaborator' role.

The result is an Access Control List on each space.
Eg.
Group 'Partner1' has the role 'collaborator' on the space 'Partner1Space'.

For the generally available space, you could use the same method, inviting all partner groups to the space. Or you can invite the special group 'EVERYONE' to give all your Alfresco users the desired access rights to that space.

When i tried to create Content as Contributor in a Contributor-invited space i get the following error:

Whats going wrong?

Hi

You are trying to update content on file on which you cna not update properties. You need permission to do both when you update content.

But i wont update an existing document, i want create a new document in this workspace! The error i got in creation, not update…
