Hi

By default, the owner is the creator, if no owner has been set.

The home folder provider only lets you set permissions on the top level folder. A template would copy permissions over but I am not sure who would be set as the creator. I suspect the user has all permissions on the files created from the template but the files were not created/owned by them. Raise this as an enhancement.

The easiest way is create as set up in which the user home is hidden to all users and then invite ALL to a subdirectory in the template. It will not work the other way round as you have to disable permission inheritance, and the ods are the owner will be wrong if you assign owner permissions in the template.

For now, I can just work around this and it'll be just fine.

Issue raised as AR-1504

And just for clarification, all folders have their creator listed as "System". The home folder itself has its owner set as the newly logged-in user, but non of the spaces created from the template have listed owners.
