Hi.I haven't yet found a thread indicating ways of handling Microsoft Project files. I know that I can add the files to the repository, but there is no associated file type for this document (octet/stream is assigned), therefore launching Project from the Alfresco interface doesn't seem possible to

You can add repo mimetype support for Microsoft Project files yourself by editing:

tomcat/webapps/alfresco/WEB-INF/classes/alfresco/mimetype/mimetype-map.xml‍

Add the following xml snippet:

<mimetype mimetype="application/vnd.ms-project" display="Microsoft Project">
 <extension>mpp</extension>
</mimetype>‍‍‍

Restart Alfresco (the mimetype map is cached) and uploaded .mpp files will have the correct mimetype in the repo.

Thanks,
Mike
