I'm afraid you will have a hard time achieving this.

Alfresco, being a repository, has complete control over the storage and management of its contents. Adding a 'shared' location would compromise this level of control.

In the past, I experimented with the idea of different repositories sharing the same content storage, but the results were not that useful and violated CMS philosophies on many levels.

Therefore, I suggest you take advantage of Alfresco's CIFS / webdav support:

1. Bulk copy the file structure into Alfresco using e.g. CIFS, letting Alfreso take control of the contents.
2. Users can then remap their network drive to the CIFS server, and to them it will appear as if they are still using their old familiar network drive.

Regards,

Hi All!I've spent a couple of hours reading various posts on the forum, and although I found a similar query to mine, raised about 3 times there never appear to be a reply. Basically, I'm trying to evaluate Alfresco for use within various industries, and what I tend to find is that most companies al
