Tried everything! - Could not load cryptix.jce.provider.md

Alfresco deploys but will not start.Stack trace from calalina.date.log below. I've reviewed other posts on this issue and have copied cryptix-jce-provider.jar to [Tomcat]\common\lib and [Tomcat]\shared\lib. I have also put the jar file in the CLASSPATH. Still the same error.Can anyone suggest anyt

(Too often find a solution and don't post it, so here goes …)

I had tomcat on a non-standard port - 9090. As soon as I changed that to 8080 all the problems went away. Something somewhere is hard coded to 8080 because there's no reference to it in any of the source files.
