All dependencies your process java-classes have, need to be available on the class path of your app. In this case, the activiti-explorer-app. So you can just add the jar-files to the WEB-INF/lib/ folder.

I have already added both the TaskDelegate.jar and the protocolServices.jar in the \activiti-explorer\WEB-INF\lib.

Does the dummy-protocol service import any LifeRay classes? If so, dependencies for that should be present as well…
