    <description>&lt;HTML&gt;&lt;HEAD&gt;&lt;/HEAD&gt;&lt;BODY&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;I answer myself, just in case anyone hits the same problem…&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;The thing is that runtimeService.signalEventReceived() should be called by signal *name*, not the id.&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;in my case &lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;CODE&gt;runtimeService.signalEventReceived("email received");&lt;/CODE&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt; does the trick. Same applies for the query.&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>
