Updated WCM Tutorial for 2.1.0 release

Any plan to release an updated WCM Tutorial PDF for the new release? The PDF from the preview looks really useful but the forms from the earlier example don't work with the new release.A simple demonstration of implementing a website with a couple of content forms and templates would be very useful

Yes. A new tutorial will be available end of next week. The earlier examples should work; this was noted on the forums earlier, and this will also have to be updated as well.

Can anyone confirm if the new tutorial is on track for release this week?

If so, where will it be available from and will there be a new example WAR file to accompany it?

Btw, is it possible to obtain the source of java files from that war? Or maybe the whole eclipse project? Should I download Alfresco SDK to accomplish that?

If you'd like the source for the sample site, you'll need to check out HEAD from svn. It is found at:

/root/projects/web-client/source/test-resources/websites/alfresco

Any news on the 2.1 WCM tutorial?

I've tried the 2.0 WCM tutorial against 2.1 Community Final but I'm not able to get it running. I've tried setting up the web project a few times now but each time I find that no workflow tasks are assigned after I submit the imported WAR contents.

The updated tutorial will be made available with the Enterprise release, anticipated this Friday (keep tuned to the wiki for further updates). We will be spinning an updated Community release thereafter to add some critical bug fixes committed to the Enterprise branch. Until this Community update, some UI screenshots in the tutorial may not be 100% identical to comparable screenshots in the latest Community release. These discrepancies should, however, be minor.

Just looking to see when this updated tutorial will be ready. I'm trying to evaluate Alfresco to see if it will meet all of our current use cases so we can replace our current commercial CMS but the WCM stuff is a little less than straight forward. The tutorial will be a big help.

I haven't seen a new community release and I am little confused on how this works. Should I be looking for something like a 2.1.1 Community release?
