Hello,

Do you install the Mysql Java Connector?

- If not you can download from http://www.mysql.com and after unzip the file, copy the .jar file into lib folder of webinf into alfresco folder.

When starting again with MySQL DB, you also need to delete the alf_data directory (probably in tomcat/bin/alf_data). If you want to keep your data, login as the admin user and perform a Full Export from the Admin Console, then follow these instructions to bootstrap with the full export file: http://wiki.alfresco.com/wiki/Export_and_Import#Bootstrap_destination_Repository_from_ACP_files_exported_from_Full_Export

Hi,
As Kevin has said, delete your alf_dir directory AND delete the database in mysql.
Run the db_setup.sql to create the database again(no tables will created) . And then start up the server.

Hey, guys.

Sorry for bumping an old thread, but I had chosen to wait till the 2.1 community release to try this out.

I'm glad to report that it worked like a charm and now I've got MySQL running, too!
