topic Import Web Form content in Alfresco Archive

Hi,

We have created some web forms with schemas and xsl renditions using WCM.

We have a large amount of existing data we would like to import for each of these forms. Our intial thoughts were that we could just generate xml files for each of the pieces of data conforming to our web form schema and then add these to the Alfresco Repository using CIFS.

However when we do this the xml files are not picked up as web forms and you cannot edit them as XForms nor generated renditions of them. I am assuming that there is some registration step, and/or property we need to set on these items to get them recognised by Alfresco as data for a web form.

Can anyone point us in the right direction?

Thanks Kevin,

Good to see it is on your roadmap. I expected Alfresco to recognise the namespace for the xml file and associate it with the web form, but I guess it is just treating it as standard content.

Is there a way we can associated the content manually now. Perhaps by writing a script to add the required aspects / attributes?

If so, are you able to let me know what the relevant aspects and/or attributes would be?
