I seek to install version 2.0 of alfresco.I ran the AlfrescoCommunity-2.0-Setup and selected Oracle database as I have the Oracle App Server and also I need to use Alfresco with Oracle only.I ran the alf_start.bat and got the following error in cmd…CompilerOracle: exclude org/apache/lucene/index/Ind

Hi mate,

looks like you may have a jar conflict with OAS and Alfresco.

I am following the instructions given in the link http://wiki.alfresco.com/wiki/Installing_on_Oracle_Application_Server_10.1.3.1 while trying to install Alfresco 2.0 with Oracle App Server (as_windows_x86_oim_oif_101401 as well as soa_windows_x86_101310). I have tried the same thing with Alfresco 1.4 also….got the same error…
Can anybody please help me with the installation in Oracle App Server…

Hi

Did you set the jars and class path at deployment time? See 1.4.x stage 4.
This was required to resolve an issue parsing XML files.

I have the same problem which is
"The requested resource (/alfresco/) is not available."

I did set a jar( the ojdbc14.jar one ) in tomcat/common/lib and I changed the samples (though the instructions in the wiki are a bit unclear about where we have to insert these changes). But still the problem persist.

But I do think that the problem may come from custom-repository-context.xml:
where I put the modifications about like this:
<beans>
      db.driver=oracle.jdbc.OracleDriver
db.name=alfresco
db.url=jdbcracle:thin:@<baotq>:1521:<database sid>
db.username=alfresco
db.password=alfresco

    <!– overriding to point to custom properties –>
    <bean id="repository-properties" class="org.springframework.beans.factory.config.PropertyPlaceholderConfigurer">
        <property name="ignoreUnresolvablePlaceholders">

….etc….

I changed nothing in this file except adding the db. instruction right after <beans>
Was I wrong?

here are the error I fing in the .log
org.springframework.beans.factory.BeanDefinitionStoreException: Line 40 in XML document from file [C:\Alfresco\tomcat\shared\classes\alfresco\extension\custom-repository-context.xml] is invalid; nested exception is org.xml.sax.SAXParseException: Content is not allowed in trailing section.

and what is the database sid?

Can anyone anwer ;y questions?

After some more manipulation I also understood that I am a newbie in xml.
I also found in the log

Does anyone know the solution to my problem?

Hi I got it working
My problem was that the instruction
db.driver=oracle.jdbc.OracleDriver
db.name=alfresco
db.url=jdbcracle:thin:@<baotq>:1521:<database sid>
db.username=alfresco
db.password=alfresco

were to be put in custom-repository-context.properties.
