No Email Templates to insert?

I have written a number of email templates which have been uploaded to the Data Dictionary/Email Templates folder.I am trying to create an inbound content rule for "All Items" the action of which is to "Email Specified Users".When I am creating this rule I am able to add the users that need to be no

Do the users have READ rights on the Data Dictionary and sub-folders?

The Data Dictionary space has the consumer role applied to the EVERYONE group. The subspaces of Data Dictionary are set to inherit.

Your question reminded me of something that could be important that I forgot to mention becuase it was done months ago and it slipped my mind.

I had deleted the guest home space in March. I managed to get everything else running without a problem without it.

Let me know if this is "hands down" the problem.

Sorry, I hate when people forget to mention important things because they lack the expertise to know it is important.

Can you see any reason why there might be a problem (or any problems after) restoring the "Guest Home" space from deleted items?

Have you moved the Data Dictionary folder at all or any of it's sub folders? If the permissions are OK then they only thing i can think is that the XPath to the folder is broken.

No sir. Not at all. I've created a number of space templates for our product families, there is no problem selecting a space template to use when creating an advanced space from a template. That might be off topic but I figured it's worth mentioning.

That sounds like something worth checking! How can I verify the XPath to the folder? Where should I start?

If you haven't moved anything then the xpath to the folder will be ok. And i would expect an error on the console if the system couldn't find the template folder. Are you able to use the Preview In Template action on any documents/folders i.e. does the web-client populate the list of templates ok?

Can you try logging in as the admin user to see if they get a list of email templates?

Yes. I am able to populate, as well as preview and apply any presentation template without a problem using the web client.

My problem seems limited to email templates only.

I have been logged in as admin all along while I have been trying to create the inbound content rule that triggers an email to specified users.

Even while being logged in as admin, I am unable to get the web client to populate the list of email templates.

Question. What exactly should my permissions for the Data Directory be? Under "Data Dictionary's" "space users" I have EVERYONE with the consumer role with inheritence to subspaces applied. That is the only thing I have for permissions on Data Dictionary. Do you see a problem with that?

It's been weeks and I still can't get this resolved.

Isn't there ANYONE that can tell me why my email templates might not be showing up?

Have you checked the permission on the mailtemplate folder also?
Inheritance should be on…Normally this is default.

Yes, that is all I've got for permissions on the Email Templates folder. Just inheritence turned on, nothing else.

This has really got my Alfresco roll out backed up 3 weeks. It's got me starting to look bad ;(

Can anyone tell me anywhere else to look? Please?

Can you give me your output it you browse(with the nodebrowser) to that directory.
