Space level check out

Are there plans to allow users to check out a whole space? If not, what are the plans for associating files so that when you check out a given document, all of the ancillary material (e.g. graphics, PDF, etc.) checks out as well?

Hi,

At the moment it is possible to check-out/in a node of any type (ie: a space) but this is not exposed in the UI and the checkout will not propagate down the children (something we need to do).

Also, we do not yet support the check-out/in of groups of related (or unrelated) nodes, but it is something that we have discussed. It would be nice to be able to gather content together in a 'package' and be able to check these content nodes in and out together. (useful, for example, if you wanted to work on a document and all its ancillary material together, as you suggest).

If these are pressing issues for you then you may want to raise them as feature requests in Jira (http://www.alfresco.org/jira) then you will be able to track thier progress.

Thanks for the update! These features aren't an absolute requirement for my project, but they are nice to have. The space check out sounds like it will be implemented first, and that does 80% of what I'm interested in.
