Once we get a MS SQL server in our QA environment. Currently we're relying on Alfresco QA which runs the activiti tests against MSSQL. So that gives us quite some confidence, but until we have it in our QA, it'll stay experimental

So that covers what needs to happen, but my question was "when"? Can you provide an eta? This is a blocker for usage/adoption for us

The when is simple: when we can get it set up in our QA environment. That's not in our hands unfortunately, but we're pushing for it with Alfresco IT.
