Activiti behavior in case of database failure

Hi,If some processes are running and the database is down because of technical reasons or for cold backup purpose, will Activiti mark those instances as failed when the database is up again? Or is there any way to find the list of processes failed/running at the time of database failure?Thanks,AB

I wonder what you mean in detail with processes failed during database failure. As far as Activiti is concerned nothing happened.

Thanks for you reply.

Suppose if a Service task in a Process will running for 15 minutes and meanwhile Activiti lost connection to database (database is down), how will Activiti handle this situation? Even when the service task completes, Activiti will not be able to store its state in db.

The servicetask will not be complete from the Activiti point of view. This process be rolled back to the previous stable state. How you handle this in the service that was being called is a different story (if it does not run in the same transaction). You could make it indempotent e.g.
