New to customizing the palette

Hi, I need some guidance. I have downloaded the money-tasks project, compiled it and packaged it into a jar. I've then added to via eclipse preferences and gone as far as closing Eclipse and restarting it, but it just does not show up in the palette.Does anyone have any ideas? I'm using Juno with th

Have you reopened the diagrams themselves? The palette is only loaded when you open a diagram.

Yeah, I have, I even shut down eclipse and restarted - no luck.

When I look at the Activiti Designer Extensions in my project I can see the jar there. But not in the palette.

The next step would be to check Eclipse's log file, in the workspace. There's probably a clue in there. If there's nothing there, make sure you have provided the exact name 'Activiti Designer Extensions' for the user library. It will not find the jar at all otherwise.

OK, nothing in the log, but in the problems tab I see it says "The user library 'Activiti Designer Extensions' references non existing library '/money-tasks/target/money-tasks-1.0.0.SNAPSHOT.jar' which is weird as I set it to external jar.

Seems it became a workspace reference which needs to be fixed.

OK I've fixed that problem, now I still don't see it but I'm getting this warning: "Using platform encoding (Cp1252 actually) to copy filtered resources, i.e. build is platform dependent!"

I don't think that particular error should get you into trouble as long as you're testing on the same platform as where you're building the JAR. I assume you get that when building the JAR with Maven?

Another way to tackle this would be for you to attach the resulting JAR file so someone can test it elsewhere and see if the problem is actually in the JAR itself.

I ran Maven command from the cmd line, I see this warning:

Hi,

I've tested your JAR in my environment (Indigo) and it works just fine. It shows up in the palette and the shape can be dragged to the canvas. So I think the problem's more likely to be in your configuration than the JAR itself.

I'm almost sure the library is somehow not linked to the project properly. I haven't heard of people having problems using this once they had that part setup.
