In order to evaluate our new WCM capabilities, you will first need to install the WCM module atop your base Alfresco install. You can download the WCM module here:

After installing Alfresco 2.0, stop Alfresco, run the WCM installer, and then restart Alfresco. The WCM module will bootstrap your base Alfresco server installation, adding a new Web Forms space within your Data Dictionary (in which you will create your new Web Forms) and a new Web Projects space in Company Home (where you will create your new websites).

I installed Alfresco last month, spent days before I found out there is no web content management included in the product and ended up choosing OpenCMS. Now I find out there is a separate WCM package for Alfresco and I'd like to give Alfresco another try.

When I try to install WCM 2.0 the setup asks me for my "existing Alfresco location". I've tried "C:\Program Files\Alfresco", my $TOMCAT_HOME and $TOMCAT_HOME\webapps (where the war file is located). But the installation programs keeps popping up "No Alfresco installation found at this location".

What am I doing wrong. Tomcat starts up Alfresco without any problems.

If you already have working Alfresco in Tomcat, to add WCM just put wcm-bootstrap-context.xml into TOMCAT_HOME/shared/classes/alfresco/extension/
and restart Tomcat.

I'm running version 2.2.0 and had the same issue of:

"WCM no alfresco installation found at this location"

Seems if you unpack the alfresco.war and delete it the WCM installer complains. Just create a file called «Alfresco Home»/tomcat/webapps/alfresco.war to get the installer to get passed this dialog, then delete this file (it can be an empty file, it only seems to look for a file with this name)
