Hi,Does Alfresco support searching of documents based on keywords and authors?We need to associate keywords for each document.Is there any way in Alfresco to have keywords search?Can we add a custom property in document to persist the keywords for a document?Thanks,Santosh Prabhu

Alfresco supports categorising content and custom properties for content. You search on categories and any properties, which can be configured to be shown in the Advanced Search screen.

Is there not a way to have the "simple" search include all metadata associated with content also?

Not at present no. I believe there is already a feature request for this in JIRA. If you want to take a look yourself, the class to look at/modify is org.alfresco.web.bean.SearchContext in the web-client project.
