We would like to use the REST API that comes with the Activiti Process Engine, but inside the User Guide I've noticed that the whole REST API is still experimental. When should we be able to use this API in a production environment ?

For the moment the REST API has no operations for querying the history entities. Is this foreseen in one of the upcoming releases ?

Hi,

I think we should remove the experimental indicator from the REST API, so it's fine to be used for a production environment.
You're right that you can't query for history processes etc yet. For the Activiti in Action book I've implemented such a REST service.
I think the best way to get the REST API enhanced is to raise JIRA issues and assign them to me.

Best regards,
