Yes, I tried it in many different flavours (Java 1.5, put it in C:\activiti, …).

No idea what "clean directory" maens, I unziped the latest release moved to the setup folder and used "ant demo.start".

Found it, its the Ant-Version. In the doc it says Ant-Version 1-7-1 and higher, so I have actually 1-7-1 installed and it should work, but I thought I give it a try with the newest Ant Version 1-8-2 ……. and ? ……. it works.

Maybe someone from the Activiti folks should update the documentation.
