HiI have synchronised Active Directory to Alfresco, so users can connect correctly and arrive to a specific home folder i define in LDAP config.But, i want to configure that after login, user dont go to home folder but to My Alfresco. So i define in custom web client config, that initial-location is

Do your users have their default start location set on their preferences node (child association of the person node)? If so, this will take precedence over the default value specified in web-client-config.xml

How do I found out whether a user has set the property?

Login as admin, go to the admin console and go to the Node Browser.

Navigate to workspacepacesStore/system/people/<2nd in list>/configurations/preferences

Look at the properties of the node and see if it has an 'initial-location' entry, if it does it is taking precedence.

It would be good to have an extra preferences parameter to indicate the folder to be used as starting point (not just companyhome as yet).

IÃ‚Â´ve seen this feature in some other DMS and is handy, specially when the folder structure matches the company structure and the users have to navigate deep it the folder structure to reach its starting point.

I know that the Navigator allows to define quick starting folders, but it would be a nice and easy addition…
