Ah, good question!

The default webapp is ROOT, yes.

You can, however, create any number of web apps in a sandbox. The create web app action is under your Create menu. Once you create a new web app, you can "root" your sandbox view to any available web app - thus, you can directly navigate into the ROOT web app in your sandbox or the alfresco web app in your sandbox or anything else you want. Do note that if you have multiple web apps in your sandbox, make sure all your output paths use the expression variable ${webapp) so any content you create is relative to the root of your current app.

Static HTML you drag-and-drop into the system? You can edit using the original tool you created it with, either via CIFS or the web app (download, modify, and reload for preview and submit). To move to XML authoring, you'll need to create a form and an output template to generate that asset and all assets like it - if every HTML pages is completely random and different, your first task then is to cluster and identify common content types and layout options before you proceed.

Great questions. In fact, all the forums questions are great. I almost don't want to go to bed so I can keep responding to them!

Late in London,

Kevin
