I've now implemented a version of this by adding the relevant code from TextFieldGenerator into a new UISearchCustomProperties class. I changed the faces-config-repo.xlm to pick up this class as the AdvancedSearchBean.

However, now the search boxes within the additional options section are being ignored by the search. Any idea what could be causing this? Have I missed a reference somewhere?
