What fixed it for me was adding useServerPrepStmts=false to my JDBC connection string.&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;If you are running the Tomcat-Alfresco bundle, look at the $TOMCAT_HOME/classes/shared/alfresco/extension files. The custom-repository.properties file has an entry called db.url which you can use to override the default JDBC connection string.&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;There are numerous posts on the internet about that particular hibernate exception–it isn't specific to Alfresco.&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;Jeff&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;HTML&gt;&lt;HEAD&gt;&lt;/HEAD&gt;&lt;BODY&gt;&lt;STRONG&gt;It seems to come from the version 4.1.12 of the MySQL server.&lt;/STRONG&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;I had exactly the problem that you describe, on a totally different platform, excepting the MySQL version for Linux.&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;Simply try to upgrade at least to the 4.1.16 (found in the Alfresco bundled installation), or better to the current &lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;STRONG&gt;4.1.19&lt;/STRONG&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt; … This solved the problem for me !&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>
