    <description>&lt;HTML&gt;&lt;HEAD&gt;&lt;/HEAD&gt;&lt;BODY&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;Thanks for the reference.&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;I have checked it out.&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;I apologize for not digging more independently to find out why, but I wonder why Versions have a special NodeService implementation.&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;I would think there might be an Aspect added to contain version-specific information as well as some sort of associations between all versions.&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;I also have come across dbNodeServiceImpl as an example.&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>

      <description>I'd like to be able to reference content from another system within Alfresco.On the forums I've seen a reference to the idea of creating a custom NodeService via 'spoofing'.&amp;nbsp; Are there any simple examples of how to create a new NodeService?Which areas of the source code should I focus on looking at?</description>
