      <title>Usability | Editing Word Doc 'in-line'</title>

      <description>I have uploaded a word doc&amp;nbsp; and a text file (added content) and marked them as 'inline-editable'.Now when I select the edit option for the .txt it opens in the Editor in Alfresco's UI, while I am unable to get the same when I try to 'edit' the word doc.Is it not possible to see a word doc open in 'M</description>

      <description>&lt;HTML&gt;&lt;HEAD&gt;&lt;/HEAD&gt;&lt;BODY&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;Hi there, &lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;i assume you refer to what you can see in the internet explorer with linked documents, but those are not "inline editors" but the real office, just opened in the browser window.&amp;nbsp; I guess would have to do two different things - &lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;1) include an editor, which can work with office docs and map it to new mime types. I don't know, though, if such an webpage inline editor exists - well except for google docs, that is &lt;img id="smileyhappy" class="emoticon emoticon-smileyhappy" src="https://connect.hyland.com/i/smilies/16x16_smiley-happy.png" alt="Smiley Happy" title="Smiley Happy" /&gt;&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;2) remap the office documents to mime type text/plain &lt;span class="lia-unicode-emoji" title=":slightly_smiling_face:"&gt;🙂&lt;/span&gt; that would give you the raw file.&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;Norgan&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>
