Hello i can connect through WEBDAV but it aint workin with CIFS!The only username works is admin with password: adminWhy???With webdav i can connect with all the users ive created in AlfrescoWebClient!I have a lot of USERS created and the have their own spaces and cant see each other spaces and so o

You probably want to get more info. Turn on all the CIFS and NTLM logging in the log4j.properties file (DEBUG level)
I thought i was having alfresco issues (intermittant CIFS mount failures), but it's looking more like a network error. At least you should be able to see if it's trying to authenticate and failing, or not getting hit at all.

Might be i am here in a company network and maybe thats the reason but after installing it at home in no network it doesnt work either but this time even admin admin dont work.

Sure: Alfresco uses log4j for logging. To avoid writign to many log messages (which can slow the thing to a crawl), most logging is disabled. The log4j.properties file controls what is logged, it's in Alfresco\tomcat\webapps\alfresco\WEB-INF\classes directory, remove the comment indicator "#" from the start of a line to enable that log, use sparingly.

Oh yeah, there are kinds of deployment for tomcat, regular and exploded. Regular means everything is packed into the alfresco.war file (really just a zip file, but renamed). When tomcat starts, it unzips (explodes) the app into the webapps directory. If you unzip it yourself and move the war file, you can then edit all those config files.

Look up Tomcat webapp management for more details.

Hi i made the debug mode for cifs (thanx for that info) but i am not really getting smarter from that.

he always tries to connect me as my the user which i logged on my PC.

NULL CIFS logon allowed.

NTLM means that you are automatically logged into alfresco how you logged on your Computer right?

So is this enabled when you install it?

I dont really know what to do now. Webdav is working fine.

Anyways whats the big advantage from cifs in comarasion with webdav?

And when the war file is exploded i can edit it too or not. Or wont be the edits registered after starting alfresco aggain?But i made changed some gifs and after starting alfresco they are still changed.???

Hm i figured now that when i use my shortcut button in the webcleint for cifsconnection he alwys wants to connect first with (computername: xxx) xxx_a.
