I have a web app running on the same server as Alfresco. I want to gather details about the current document in Alfresco and pass it via url to this web app. I can gather the infomation fine, but having a problem launching the url. I can launch the browser by calling the command line from my java cl

Do you mean launching a new browser window from within the Alfresco server or from the client?

If you mean from the webclient you can either generate a href link with a target attribute of "new" or you can use window.open() in javascript.

If you mean from the server you can always execute some server side Javascript and output the window.open code as the return value, see http://forums.alfresco.com/viewtopic.php?t=5621

I want to launch a new browser window with the url of my web app from within Alfresco, either in javascript or a java class. I have been unsuccesful, do you have a working example?
