How to include the field description in the search

Is there a means to include the description of a document in the search (for example including it in the indexation).

Hi

All attributes are indexed.

You can search on description in the advanced search.

Can we modify the default search to include Title and Descripton rather than have to go to Advance Search?

That was something we wanted to add for 1.4, unfortuntely it got shunted down the priority list. Currently you will need to make code changes to org.alfresco.web.bean.SearchContext for this - it's not difficult but of course it means rebuilding Alfresco from source. Hopefully this will get added in a future release as I certainly feel it's important and you are not the first person to ask for it! ops:

Hi guys,

i apologize for posting this same query in multiple places, but that jus shows how badly i require this ops: :cry:

im badly looking for help in advanced search … any help is REALLY appreciated !!

In the Alfresco's advanced search, under "Look in Location", there are 2 options given, namely "All Spaces" & "Specify Space". When i click the "Click here to select a Space" option under "Specify Space", i get the various spaces i have.

Currently, these spaces are listed as radio buttons, so im able to select only one particular space. My requirement is to make these as checkboxes, so that the user can select more than one space for performing the search.

Is this possible, if so which r the files that i need to modify …
