topic Templates and permissions workaround? in Alfresco Archive

Dear Alfresco,

I made a template (as an Alfresco admin user) with some permissions on different spaces. When I use this template in the advanced space wizard the structure is created with all the permissions. Other users can use this template as well, they need this to create the folder structure in a space where they have the collaborator role. They create the spaces but the permissions are not taken from the template.

I can see why but this is not the prefered method. I gave these users a collaborator role so that they would not mess around with the permissions. They should create the space from the template with the permissions I set.

Any idea how I could achieve this? I gave them the coordinator role on the parent space but this is not a nice solution. Is there a workaround or should I submit a feature request in the JIRA?

Thanks!

Hi

Is it the users can not see the permissions from the source space or do not set them on the created spaces.

In the first case can include ReadPermissions for the source. In the second you are stuffed if the users do not own the nodes they create.

Regards

Andy
