Hi there, Just looking at the WebDAV interface to try and work out the easiest way to import a lot of XML files and it seems that it doesn't expose anything below the Web Project -> Project Name level. Is this a bug or a feature? (or something that's hard with the sandboxing?) I seem to remember r

You are correct, web projects (sandboxes) are not yet exposed in WebDav - however they are exposed over CIFS and you can map a drive to a specific user sandbox or the staging area for a website - which is very powerful when using external apps to work on large numbers of files i.e. Macromedia.

Thanks,

Kevin

There are two ways to browse the normal repository view over CIFS:

In Explorer, go to Tools | Map Network Drive…
- Pick a drive letter (e.g. A: )
- Under 'Folder' enter: \\HOSTNAME_A\Alfresco (so if your hostname is grumpy use GRUMPY_A)

There is a Connect using a different username option - but you should get prompted for your Alfresco credentials anyway.

When you connect to A: (which will be labelled as "Alfresco on 'Alfresco CIFS Server (Hostname_a)' (A: )" ) you'll see the Company Home view…

OR go to the Web project details page (Web Projects > www_site then click on Actions | View Details) and click on View in CIFS - this will be a link such as
 file://///HOSTNAME_A/Alfresco/Web%20Projects/www_site

However for the sandboxes you need to use HOSTNAME_A\AVM

In large company you can't user samba because of security reasons.
Webdav solve this correctly, but in web project folder isn't exposed.

Why ?

How can I to enable the exposing ?

Thanks Mila
