I tried the obvious:- Extract jboss-4.0.5GA.tar.gz- Extract jboss-portal-2.4.sar into default/deploy- Configured PortalDS/Database correctly- Started JBossOk, JBoss Portal 2.4 running fine…Now, I copied alfresco.war (standalone, not the one from jboss bundle) to default/deploy, and it simply does no

These are the last lines, then JBoss freezes its starting up process (no more new messages in log files) and CPU loading goes HIGH…

i am having very similar trouble, I tried the obvious and followed the instructions to no avial, I want to run alfresco and liferay off of JBOSS AS. So any help in this area would be appreciated, hope someone smart knows what to do.

I finally ran Alfresco 1.4 with JBoss 4.0.5 and JBossPortal 2.4.

Two main changes were necessary:
1) Override myfaces* from Alfresco into jbossweb*/jsf-libs

2) Override log4j xml from alfresco-jboss-bundle into jboss-4.0.5 default install

3) Removed some conflicting jars from alfresco.war/WEB-INF/lib like jta.jar, jboss*.jar (becareful: do *NOT* delete all jboss*.jars, some of them are needed)

Other things I couldn't achieve:
1) Configure Alfresco to access Database over some JBoss datasource
2) Configure Alfresco to use JtaTransactionManager

I think that we need a standalone Alfresco.war ready for JBoss 4.x, not that one from jboss-bundle as it comes with jboss 4.0.3 and even sometimes we need to run it on jboss 4.0.<something newer> or even, some customized JBoss.
