There is a tracking image from Alfresco that tries to download from Alfresco's website. I've had to nullify this because it wasn't making our SSL connection a true SSL connection.(Apache)

You will want to read this. It will give you steps onto how to remove this. Also there are other forum posts about this subject.

I believe that is why you are getting the prompt for credentials.

This looks like this removes the tracking logo from the share site, which I have already done. I am trying to remove the community 4.2 logo (http://www.alfresco.com/assets/images/logos/community-4.2.png) from the footer of the alfresco explorer site. (The alfresco/faces/jsp/login.jsp page)
