Hi guys,

Sorry for this question - I'm completely new in Alfresco. Is it possible to use it to manage my network share and to see folders/files using a web browser? E.g. we have a network share folder with folders and files - what should I do to see it? I pointed repository to a network share location but I still cannot understand how it works. I created a folder in alfresco but it haven't appeared somewhere on a share. Same for uploaded file. Tried to look through some documents - no success

Please help,

Roman.

No, you cannot use Alfresco to expose existing file shares. All folders and content must be ingested into the Alfresco repository and then you can expose the Alfresco repository as a file share if you would like to.

At that point, Alfresco manages all of the files in a proprietary folder structure which you should not access directly.
