Alfresco startup error post mysql re-install

Can anyone help me out.I have a ubuntu system where alfresco enterprise edition3.4.5 and mysql5.5 was installed. Mysql got corrupt and I re-installed it and started again. Iam able to log into mysql as root & as alfresco user without any issues, post reinstall…. Restarted alfresco, but it throws

you have a mismatch between your indexes and the database. Or your index and the content store. If you start with an empty database you also need to clear the content store. I you care about the content store then you need to restore the db from backup.

Thanks for the Reply Rogers,

But mysql was completely corrupt and I was unable to connect to it due to which I couldnt take a back up of my db. what will happen if i clear content store ? Will I be able to restart alfresco without any issues?

What does this content store contains ?

Can someone reply,
I emptied contents of contenstore , contentstore.deleted & luceneindexes. problem still persists…
