Cool thanks.
**and if i need to try more than one version until I find the right version, where does Ubuntu/Mint/Debian hide the start script file? It's not in the /opt folder.
is it maybe somewhere in the ''etc'' folder? just wondering. I guess i can find it. I am pretty decent with the Nautilus file manager. you just hit "cntrl + h" to find hidden files/ folders. I want to make certain that if I reinstall back to earlier versions that I can completely purge any other version to avoid conflicts. I have had that type of problem with other software before, and this time I'm exercising a bit of restraint – lol
Once I learn from the instructional videos, THEN I will move into the more bleeding edge versions of the Community Edition. I really like this program's abilities.
Thank you for your input.

These set of videos seems to be applicable to all the versions 4.X.
So, you can download and install 4.1, or 4.2 and get families with alfresco .
