Hi

Using 4.2c Community.

I need to be able to create sites pre-populated with default content. A few documents in the document store, a template wiki and one of the out of the box datalists containing some data entries - effectively making a pre-set todo list.

I have created a custom site prefix to set up the default share dashboard - fine. I have copied a simple script that creates a default folder structure in the Document Library when a site is created, but I cannot find a way to copy the default content into the folders from, say, a template site. There is some documentation for 3.4 out there, but I believe it doesn't work with 4 because something has changed.

You may have worked out I am not a genius and certainly cannot code or write js with anything other than heavy prompting! I don't think my aim here is overly ambitious given my (lack of) skills, but any pointers would be appreciated. I have searched and cannot find anything relating to this for 4.

Thanks for any help you can give.

I think you can use space template to achieve this.
Create space template which is having basic structure required by you.
Then you script will create folder structure and documents in the new site based on that template.
