    <description>&lt;HTML&gt;&lt;HEAD&gt;&lt;/HEAD&gt;&lt;BODY&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;It seems the sorl4.war did not deploy properly and did not overwrite the existing solr4 lib directory. I fixed the problem by stopping tomcat, deleting the /var/lib/tomcat7/webapps/solr4 directory and restarting tomcat.
