aslfresco Database path Configuration

hi i am now installed alfresco community 4.2.e and now its was working fine and i installed this in my virtual machine and i want store my all alfresco data files in different server in my network so tell me how to change the data path to another server in alfesco thanks in advance

Please read the documentation!

You need to set your dir.root in alfresco-global.properties.

I tried this i have make one folder in my ubuntu server and i mounted it my virtual machine which is alfresco running (linux mint) i changed it to dir.root=mount point(my network path) atlast i run the command service alfresco restart and it was restarted but i am not able to login its not accept my user name and password during the time of login what should i do next

thank u sir i tried i change the dir.root=mount point(my network server directory) then i use command service alfresco restart now i am not able to login with my previous user name and password its showing
"Your authentication details have not been recognized or Alfresco may not be available at this time"

sir i changed the data path in global-alfresco properties file(dir.root = /my datapath) after that i restarted alfresco service then after restarting the sevice one folder was created automatically (folder name contentstore.deleted) in my specified data path but when i try to login its not accepting my previous admin username and password and i got the below log file in this case what should i do help me sir
