(I was assuming desktop sync since your original post is in:

http://forums.alfresco.com/forum/end-user-discussions/alfresco-desktop-sync
).

I downloaded from the 4.2.c wiki page
http://wiki.alfresco.com/wiki/Community_file_list_4.2.c
That page has been updated with a newer version since 4.2.c release.
Sort of hidden, and part of what I was trying to say in my post is this; that the development of desktop sync seems like a not so well nursed side project. That of course may not be how it is viewed internally. Bu there is no official ongoing status, no update posts in this forum. You can see some of what is happening in the issue tracker https://issues.alfresco.com/jira/browse/DSYNC
But a post here or a blog post with some official statement concerning Alfresco commitment and Status of Alfresco Desktop sync would be nice.
