Unfortunately there are several fixes required, so its not easy to point you to particular files or even change sets. The code is and has been on HEAD for some time.

Thank you for your reply MRogers.

I'm trying to find the diff between 4.2.d HEAD and 4.2.c for a while now and can't find the files which require the fixes in 4.2.c

The reason why I ask for this again is because I'm developing against 4.2.c and I would highly appreciate if in some free time someone would be able to point me to the files so that I investigate the differences and try to patch it.
