At the same time, to avoid duplicating the data, it will be left in place, sitting outside of Alfresco, and simply have a URL pointing to its location. Maybe I need to have a custom store that knows about external file locations? Create a shortcut to a file or url on your dekstop or anywhere you can. Drag it to Alfresco.
