      <description>&lt;HTML&gt;&lt;HEAD&gt;&lt;/HEAD&gt;&lt;BODY&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;LDAP authentication is not supported by Alfresco via the CIFS protocol. You can only authenticate via CIFS with Alfresco NTLM, Passthru, or Kerberos. If you're not authenticating against a Windows domain, then Passthru is probably not an option.&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;The Alfresco documentation provides details for configuring all of the CIFS-enabled authentication subsystems:&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;A href="http://docs.alfresco.com/4.2/topic/com.alfresco.enterprise.doc/concepts/auth-subsystem-intro.html" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer"&gt;http://docs.alfresco.com/4.2/topic/com.alfresco.enterprise.doc/concepts/auth-subsystem-intro.html&lt;/A&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>
