It sounds like you do not have the correct permissions set in the database.

The user 'alfresco' needs to be granted permission to the tables created by the repository. To do this open the mysql command line utility using:


mysql -u root -p‍‍

Then issue the following commands:

grant all on alfresco.* to 'alfresco'@'localhost' identified by 'alfresco' with grant option;
grant all on alfresco.* to 'alfresco'@'localhost.localdomain' identified by 'alfresco' with grant option;‍‍
